2014 Tucson Seminars provided by AGTA As some of you may recall, the seminars provided by AGTA are open to all show participants, and not just members or associate members of AGTA. If you are in the gem and jewelry trade, or even a gem enthusiast, it is open to you.
There are roughly about 300+ Firm Members of AGTA, plus several hundred Associate or Retailer Members. Since the Firm Members are usually working their booths, it is all the others who are likely to participate in the seminars.
There are over 40 seminars sponsored by AGTA that are mostly open and free of charge [with more than ample seating]. The seminars are spread over 4 days, and they cover a wide range of topics – and most of them are geared to improving or enhancing the operation of retailers’ businesses.
That being said, some of the seminars will benefit those just entering (or wanting to enter) the jewelry trade. You can see for yourself by reviewing all the seminars (free or fee-based) here:

So I've been to the site and looked at the requirements for entry... It looks like I can get in with a business card? Is that all I need, or am I reading it wrong? I will have my business license on me as well.

Hi pandawire, the requirements for entry into the AGTA convention center are stringent. For this, you must have the proper trade-related credentials. Business card and your business license MAY or may not be enough. Can call AGTA on their toll free number to find out.
To enter the seminars [which are in a separate building] you just need to walk in. There will not be anyone checking badges, etc. *at least that is how its been since AGTA moved to the convention center over 20 years ago.
