LOL....I remember the first week I had the forum up. I checked my host providers STATS after a few days and boasted to my co-workers, "Look, look, 35 people visited my forum so far this week!!"
Yesterday, 2515 unique people visited, 21,948 pages were viewed and there were 98,287 hits on the site.
Now, that's very cool for a site which only offers nerdy esoteric information.

I find everything rather technical and down to earth here I must say. No wonder, I've read so much about gemstone folklore and healing with gems
However to anyone without any interest in these things, or only the most basic interest, discussions of the technical stuff become the nerdy and esoteric. This is the gemological equivalent of say ComiCon. There's lots of people here, some just to see the pretty girls (I assume these would be the stones, but hey, I'm not judging), others that want to meet up with the industry's big names (at least those who are on here), and still others are those same industry leaders having intense conversations about their art and craft. That's what makes this such vibrant place to be to discuss gems. I can get scientific info in some areas, advice for getting better with my own work, and hopefully help at times to teach those who are visiting. Barbra Voltaire, thank you so much for giving us a place like this to get together.
