While waiting for my machine to arrive, I realized I need to plan out what my prepolish/polish lap sequences will be
I had ordered a pack of laps w/ the machine for a decent price, and I got a gearloose kit on top of that, which leaves with with more laps than I really need.
I'll have a BATT and Darkside lap that I'll probably charge for general purpose final polishing (50k and CeO respectively)
But I also have these which I'm not sure how to make best use of: Zinc+ lap Another generic zinc alloy lap Copper lap Lucite lap - spare polish lap I guess
I'll have to use one, or maybe two of these to make prepolish laps at different grits for different materials. I guess I'm not sure if there's much difference between a zinc and a copper lap (copper appears to be slightly harder than zinc?) Anyone have any advice?
