Nanosital is afaik a nanocrystalline glass ceramic (by rusgems?). Monosital seems to be unrelated(?) They might be lying about primary stats on their home page, lots of scummy companies like to rebrand CZ or other cheap simulants, lie a bit about properties and never disclose what they're actually selling. So it's hard to know what it really is without examining one directly, and without that it's hard to know what will polish it.

I'm not familiar with that type of labeling on diamond wheels... could they be referring to a wheel that has 2-3 micron size diamonds? I would not consider that a "polishing" wheel though.

Long time ago I read in an advertisement from Formica Ltd. that Nanogems can be grinded like topaz on diamond polishing wheels with 3/2 grain (or grit?). Can't find the PDF neither online nor im my download documents.

This is a size for diamond grinding wheels (Diamantschleifscheiben).

The choice of the right grain size depends on the required material removal and the desired surface quality.

There are european sizes (FEPA), U.S. standard (MESH) sizes, approximate european sizes, nominal sizes and for example Norton (Saint Gobain) sizes (MESH).

For example
"approximate european grain size (FEPA) M10" is the same as "nominal grain size 6/12" and corresponds to "US Norton grain size (MESH) 800".
Further M6,3 corresponds to nominal size 4/8
M4,0 to 2/4
and M2,0 to 0/2 with no indication for US Norton grain size

-so 3/2 is somewhere in between-

Maybe that will help you.

But never mind, you can grind/polish/facet Nanogem / Nanocrystal/ Nanosital / Monosital / Siamite, which are nanocrystalline glass ceramic, like topaz (no matter which grinding wheels you use for this).

3/2 micron refers to a powder with a micron range approximately 2 to 3 microns and would polish gem materials in a resin bond.

Monosital and Nanosital are just trade names for ceramic glass. Nanosital was coined by RusGems and Monosital was coined by US@Gems. Both are around the same as far as hardness and optical properties. The main constituents are SiO2 and Al2O3.
Both polish easily with pretty much anything. I like Cerium Oxide.

Ditto.

And I have found US@Gems to be very good. Not fly by night as suggested above. Their other material tends to work like YAG, so I used diamond.
