Anyone willing to take on the task and make a GemCad/GemRay of the cut shown in the picture?
Preferably for R.I. 1.52 (critical angle: 41.2°) to suit a 40+ carat.
The image is a match for Jeff Graham's Rose Heart with a carved notch, but that definitely can't be done in RI=1.52...
Attaching a barion pavilion will change the pattern, and the lower refractive index also means you won't get the same sparkle that render shows, is that okay?

I think that might work. The design would be for a Feldspar of light color. If it is possible it would be nice if the cut were able to make the material look slightly more saturated also.

Here's my first attempt, the girdle changes thickness slightly to minimise need for barion facets. If someone else can figure out how to improve this for larger stones that would be great.

Great start! Thanks! GemCad is new to me, I haven't gotten the hang of it just yet.

GemCAD design request: An elongated version of the OMNI Egg Brilliant (by Robert Strickland) with Old Mine Cut Pavilion/Crown.
For R.I: 1.62-1.64 (Tourmaline) L/W: 1.50
If possible, could you post some images of the type of pavilion you want for the design? While sharp cushion cuts are often refered to as Old Mine, most surviving examples are irregular rounds.

Pavilion similar to this I guess, designed in a manner that won't lead to windowing or lack of light reflection in Tourmaline.
