The spinel is just over 2.5 inches in diameter to give size reference.

The LuAG is pretty expensive though since it's quite dense and just not super cheap to start with.

Moissanite ingots routinely come in hockey-puck shapes that are 3" in diameter by 1" tall.

Most Czochralski-pulled synthetics used for technical purposes are 3"-6" in diameter and typically 1-2 feet in length.
