I was wondering if there is a specific name for conjoined? pearls. I have come across some which look like bow ties (baroque shape) but couldn't seem to find any information about them. Perhaps they are not actually conjoined and just grow in that shape naturally? Anyway if anyone knows please enlighten me, thanks!

I thought a picture may help, it's not particularly clear here, but the circled pearl is one piece.

When I was learning about pearls from my instructors they brought in some pearls that looked like this and just called them baroque. Of course that could have been an oversimplification but I haven't come across any other name for them since. I'm interested to what others think though.

Thanks, and yes that is all I could find while searching, I just considered there should be another more exacting term, but perhaps there isn't. I have now managed to track down the name of the designer (I think) looks like they no longer operate but I have tried to make contact. If I receive any useful info I will update this post.
