I picked up a couple pairs of this fossil for earrings at the last Gem Show.
They are delightful little treasures:

Those are lovely! They remind me a bit of lace doilies.

Does anyone know where to get the indonesian fossil coral with the smaller more densely packed "flowers". Maybe 2.5mm across the flowers but densely packed together without open the space between. I bought some from a seller from Indonesia about a year ago and loved it but haven't seen any since and I've been looking all over for it. It has the same red/beige coloration so I'm guessing it must be a different part of the same species (maybe from the base where they are more densely packed?) or fossils from younger specimens. I loved the stuff and it is perfect for inlay work I just can't find any more.

I bought mine from Tarak.
I always remember because it's karat spelled backwards.
