I love exploring the dim dusty corners of the gem markets in Yangon for the odd and unusual specimens, and last week I found some fun Burmese amber pieces with insects. These are from Kachin state where the dealer's son lives, and estimated at 100 million years old. I believe that the first two are ensign scale insects; not sure about the others. Some quick shots with my Wild M420 Apozoom and darkfield lighting, the first is a stack of four images; the others are single unstacked images.

Good photography using probably Leica m420.

Thanks, but it's a Wild M420. Leitz purchased Wild Heerbrugg in 1988, so at some later date the M420 was rebranded as the Leica M420.
