I am a jewelry designer just starting up my business and building inventory.
I came across a stone that I like, but it looks like it might have a chip. The selller says it is not a chip, and that it is 'natural'. Would really appreciate anyones expertise as to whether this is a chip, and if it is, whether it will threaten the integrity of the stone.
The only way for us to know is to look at a good magnified picture of the feature. Naturals and chips should be easy to distinguish. As for whether it represents a risk to the stone, we also need to see that image.
In either case, chip or natural, value wise it would be better if it wasn't there.
