It is with great sadness I'd like to announce Dr. Hanneman passed away on December 12, 2020. His legacy will live on forever!

I'm sure he can speak for himself, but apparently Mexican cuisine is not his favorite.

actually it was not a problem of appreciating or not mexican stuffs, it was new for me and i was curious to try it.......still can't help myself in understanding what precisely went wrong, tohugh, but the nite was really tough and the day after we had the hands-on at the AGA conference, our most important event of the Whole trip........................ I remember we had a 2nd round at the same restaurant a couple of days later and i decided to go for a "safe" burger...........LOL

We might share the genotype of cilantro haters. We cannot enjoy part of Mex (and Thai) food, but apparently we can also better smell some aldehydes and (I read somewhere) ozone. Which can be useful es. if you work with ionizing radiation sources.

See es.: Eriksson, Nicholas, et al. "A genetic variant near olfactory receptor genes influences cilantro preference." Flavour 1.1 (2012): 22.

Cassandra and I will be there as well!

I have the same problem with Cilantro, but it's pretty easy to make sure that they don't put it in. Only pre-mixed salsa do you have to pick it out of, or ignore completely.

It's not looking good for me with my ankle injury.
Fingers crossed.

Hehe sucks for you Marco :P But I can't talk - I have a variant of a receptor that codes for the bitter defensive compound in legumes, so even the slightest bit of undercooked beans or peas makes an entire dish taste like super concentrated quinine nastiness.

Oh, no! You have to be there, Barbra! What's a GO dinner without Ms. GO herself? :|

Latest update 2 torn ankle ligaments one stage 2, one stage 3. The stage 3 is almost a 4, only hanging on with 2 threads. Dr. Salk has scheduled my work return for Feb3.
He said, it might be earlier. :smt017
