I hope to attend one of these events once in my life. I won't be there in 2015, unfortunately. It's my dream to attend the gem show in Tucson once in my life!

I agree, Barbra.

Here in Australia gem shows are minor affairs. I attended over a dozen of them this year, one being the Gemboree, which is the main national show. You will rarely find stunning gemstones or minerals. They are mostly events for dealers to sell their gemstone, jewelleries, lapidary supplies, etc. They are organized by individual lapidary clubs which are dwindling in number.

In my opinion the Tucson show is like going to a gem and mineral museum, except that you can buy what on display, as long as your pockets are deep enough!

My family would like to come. That's me, parents and my brother/business partner. I hope that's ok, since only two of us are actually forumites.

4 total (if that's OK). If it's too crowded we could cut it back.

I will personally not be attending because my ankle injury is cramping my style. :(

But, the name on the reservation is Barbra Voltaire.
