There is a 25 stamped one. Seems like steel.

Can anyone snap a pic of the underside of the controller. I think I see where the wires were but I don't know which was which. I have a neutral/white and ground/green to connect.

I found a pic online of one with a harness and a pic of the reverse side. Perfect! If anyone else ever needs it, it'll be here.

I got the wiring wrong apparently. It's switched off but when I plug it in it's running.

Ok it's running properly and I didn't even get zapped lol Had the ground on and when I switched it on unplugged it was showing connected to the neutral. So I pulled the ground because in the 1 diagram I saw it had no ground.
Now I can setup the machine!

File comment: You can see where I pulled the ground out. I guess it just bypasses the switch.

Everything seems good. I'll try out a stone tomorrow and we'll see.

Measurements for the blue stone. Rough outline of the shape, triangular. Definitely can see some green in there, so not indicolite but it's nice.

Looks like a good candidate to cut the design Steve posted earlier or a design similar. Make the table using the 11mm axis.

Thats what I was thinking, I was looking for a piece that is close but I don't really have anything that's close so I'll probably just go for it once I'm comfortable on the new machine.

Here is a copy of an old article of times past and of the original USFG newsletter.
Which was and is a fantastic source of all things faceting and more, well worth the small membership fees.
It is a very detailed and precise view of aligning a machine like yours.
All credit goes to Mr. Paul Head and the Old Pueblo Lapidary Club.

Thanks Greg, I think she's calibrated pretty well. I went through and did almost the same thing when I got the graves also. That one held true for basically the entire time I owned it. Still working on a test stone. Had to fix the water catch so it sat up high enough and it needed a girdle slot. Not the original I'm guessing but it works for now. I need a good lower grit lap, it should help prevent the initial fracturing so I used one of the really thin copper ones I just got and loaded it with 240 mesh diamond paste, used a piece of kunzite to work it in. Ran well, way better than the electro-plate topper I was using. I'm going to get a thicker one, this copper lap is as thin as they come but good for a test at the very least. I used oil instead of water this time also. No fractures so far, so I will probably go this route for lower grits. Any recommendations on powder/paste or oil? The paste I'm using came with the machine but it's almost gone and looks really old. I used wd40 for testing but I don't know if that's ok to use all the time or not.
Thanks again for the instructions!

Spiraling now, I must have missed it earlier or it came off when I had the speed up. I've been messing with it forever now. Keep thinking I have it but I don't. Each time I test a step cut it's off. I adjusted the three set screws holding down the bearing house but I don't think that worked I can't really tighten them down any more now any way. I tried the mast as well and that hasn't worked so far. I tried a few different laps and it isn't that. Slanted no matter what. Bleh, I know I'll get it eventually but it's frustrating lol.

Spiraling? Meaning staircase? First facet and last facet not meeting the way you expect it to?
