Which teal sapphire do you like from these 1.50-2 carat caliberated 8x6’s?

Really hard to tell from a single picture. Especially without knowing what kind of light source and where it is located. The top one looks like it is windowed, though. The others have some weird color variations, which might be due to lighting effects. Maybe I could tell you from a video - but those pictures don't help.

If i were grading on my personal preference from A to E, A being the top most stone, I would have to choose F.
I personally do not find any of them very attractive. Dead and life less. But like already stated just images and very 2D.
On another note, how are they calibrated stones if they range from 1.5-2 carat

Not sure I would call the teal, more like parti color.

Greg,

in many parts of the World calibrated refers only to length width so weights and look can vary substantially.. Here calibration also includes depth and pavilion bulge.

Using 1bwana1's observation, I would agree with parti color.
Using glhays' organizational skills, I would go with B or C to insure the party (parti) would be clearly seen in the mounting.

Steve, I am very aware of what calibrated stones are in the gemstone industry.
Look very close at this posters image, it is clear that stone B is dimensionally larger than the rest, C and D are smaller than the rest but look very close in size.
I think the poster again uses the stated calibrated 8x6's just to enhance what they sell and the unwary passer by.
That's just how I see this posters continued dialog of see what I have. They posed the question which do you like.

What I also believe is each of those stones were cut from a image and posted into a collage for viewing and possibly advertisement purposes, so I do not attempt to claim they do not have calibrated stones in there inventory.

Sidebar thought.
I suspect not everyone reading this thread IS aware of the fine points of the term "calibrated".

Remember that posts and replies are not just for the now but for the benefit of anyone reading the comments in the future. :D

Barbra point taken.
So I do respectfully hope that the readers you speak of reading these comments will come away more knowledgeable on determining for them selves what this poster may mean by "these caliberated 8x6's". Because the poster clearly isn't giving any meaning to it.

Greg,

I wasn't meaning to imply that you didn't understand calibration. Just that this term has different meaning in different places and different buyers.

GIA says that in order to classified as calibrated the stones are only allowed 0.10mm of tolerance in dimension from the stated calibration measurement no matter the shape.

Many buyers demand not only that, but that the depth and facet pattern must also match to very close tolerance so that the stones are basically interchangeable with no appearance differences.

I know that you have successfully sold stones under the most stringent of calibration tolerances.

The OP says that the stones vary in weight by 33%. How do you price a calibrated stone piece with a 33% weight variation. I agree with you that under even loose calibration tolerances the pictures stone would not "measure up". Pun intended.

Thanks and I wasn't taking it personally.
I guess I have a bit of a pet peeve on this OP, so far every post and the wording has come across a bit like most tradeshow countertop salesmen throwing out terms to misrepresent what they are selling to the unsuspecting passerby or newbie.
I will need to refrain from this OP's post's when they come up.

Unfortunately I agree with you. Don't stop, you do a service pointing out such things.

Agreed.
Don't hesitate to point out questionable posts, EVER!
Everything is up for discussion!

I've seen some crazy parcels offered as calibrated, by the way.

This poster has submitted several posts which have not been approved because they were clearly attempts at self promotion. As you pointed out this may be another one.

Want it removed?

Barbra no, not needed. I would rather let the post expose some of the tradeshow tactics that go on routinely in the trade. I personally would hope that this OP and or the assigned salesman making the posts would engage in the dialog after their posting, but have been reluctant to do so. Out of those 5 stones they posted, I have recut the same and more for people who got caught in the BS legitimately. They are GJX vendors and should know better.
Yes My wife and I have as well, in purchasing thousands of carats of many different gemstones have ordered calibrated materials at calibrated prices just to receive non calibrated goods that required hours of sorting. 50,000 carats of multi-colored 4x3mm oval sapphire is a chore to sort when the so called size calibration is so far off, fun to look at though.
