The website linked from the one Barbra cited lists several items:

Three classes: Diamonds; Colored Stone (sic); and Intensive Review Course
Four Instructors are listed under Gemmologist.
Several webpages are listed as being under construction. They list on their masthead "Founded 2003."

Multiple pictures showing students at work.

Also have never heard of them before.

I was going to ask about this lab, but after searching came across this post. Doesn't appear that anyone knows much?

I found their website and inputted a gem ID search.... came back with nothing, more like it hasn't searched at all. I get the feeling just from using the website that something is not right.

Anyone bought anything where this Lab has done a cert and it ended up way out?

I've got some stones tested by them...
Anybody knows about the reliability of their tests?

Ciao...

My suggestion would be to find a gemologist to take a look at them for you.

I've seen quite a few stones from them. I know a dealer in Bangkok who swears by them. I've found their IDs have always been fine but gradings are soft. Reports are nicely presented but pictures are not good at all.

Hello,

this is how their "GEM IDENTIFICATION REPORT" looks like...
Not so many info... but it's cheap... 15US$ only...

Photo no longer available- Admin

Once you open the envelope, you will find a 4 digit passward that you can use in the "GEM TESTING LABORATORY" on their website to check the "original report"...

I've tried this procedure but it didn't work... Tomorrow I'll give them a call... let's see if they will be able to help me...

Ciao...

what I don't like is that the report is voided by opening it.
those reports are the most common, but are very basic and purely IDs

Hello,

I just had a call with them...
they'll send me the complete reports by email withins some hours... and tonight I'll post it :-)
It looks like I've problem with their site and they'll send me the reports via email...
They said that in the complete report they give all info... RI... Clarity... Proportions... and everything else...

Actually I don't have anything against very basic ID if they're well done... I just wanted to avoid synthetic stuff... once I'm 100% sure that it's good than I'm more or less able to judge on my own if it's a nice stone or a not...
These are my first precious stones... I've allwayse keept at distance from them cause my refractometer and my eyes are not enought to save me from the syntheic monsters :-)

I'll post later the complete reports and I'll compare them with the ones for the same stones by another gemmologist who will check the stones later on this afternoon...

Ciao...

Hello,

they sent me the "complete reports"... but they are exactly the same as the ones printed on the envelopes with the tested stones...
Well... I hope that at least they made a correct identification of the stones...

Anyway tomorrow I'll bring them to gemmologist for testing...

Ciao...

Hello,

I got the stones tested by GHI checked by a gemologistit and he confermed the GHI reports...
It looks like all their tests, alltought they printed just a few very basic parameters, were done in best coscience and the stones were correctly ID'd... Cheap but good :-)

Ciao...
