ROFL! I know PBR is popular now because they don't advertise but when I was growing up it was considered a redneck beer. Something you might catch Willie Nelson or Waylon Jennings with.

Still is bro, redneck or alcoholic beer, its weird if you go out to the bars in San Francisco like near mission and castro they serve a hell of a lot of PBR, I always thought of it as a red state drink, but I guess they have something in common now.

It's those damn "hipsters" that think by drinking PBR while wearing a bowling shirt that says "Chuck" on the name tag (his real name is something like "Kyle") makes them "ironic" which means that people will think they are interesting. They are, of course, NOT interesting... and they misunderstand what "ironic" means... they're looking for something more like "kitschy".
Regardless, hipsters and other insufferable "city-folk" are what makes me hate going to San Francisco. If it wasn't for the real culture and amazing food there, I'd only ever go to see Barbra.
