So I just got a LOT of tsavorite garnets back from the cutting shop.. precision cut, high quality. So for those of you who buy parcels, the question I have is, would you rather see the parcels containing similar colors, or would you prefer similar shapes and sizes? The size range is from 2mm up to 6 mm (i imagine that's a 1 pt to 60 pt stones). Color is from grass green to deep emerald. Just trying to get a feel for what is most useful presentation for the jewelry community.. I'll put some pictures up when I get home.. :D

It seems dead here lately...

I'll post for myself, but caviat it that I'm a cutter. So I'd be unlikely to be looking for the larger ones in your range.

When I shop for parcels it is for small stones, say, 1.5mm up to perhaps 2.5mm. I'm generally looking for matched size, color, cut, and quality. But potentially I could be looking for color suites of the same size or size progressive suites of the same color. The latter two would typically be smaller parcels sized for the whole parcel to go into a single project. The latter could progress up to medium sized stones or even the larger end for doing something interesting with a pendant.

Matched pairs or parcels of matched pairs of stones are also interesting, for earrings.

For the larger end of your size range, I'm looking for nice stones. They'll be the centerpiece of a setting, so, they don't have to match.

It's a generic answer, and others likely have their own viewpoint which could well differ from mine.
