New to the Forum or The Quiet Type

Found a bout a 15 to 20 pound rock looks pretty normal on the outside half buried with a little glint of purple in it so I decided to Dig it out and take it home and bust it open and this is what I found is it a nodule ?and what kind of stone is that? all help is appreciated thank you!!!

You can always try https://www.mindat.org/photoscroll.php, enter the location of where you found it (general locale), see what you get. That is if no one here can Id it. It is a rock not a gemstone. But that doesn't mean its not a gem of a find. Good luck, and good find.
