Hello and its been a long time since I have checked in...but life happens and we go on. Anyways---I have aquired used laps in one bulk shipment. They are unmarked for the most part as to grit/diamond etc. What steps do i take to identify what grit each lap is AND what is the best way to clean them? And do I want to use wet dry sandpaper to clean and or even out the surfaces as I have seen on you tube? What type of material do i clean these with? A brush? A wire brush? A toothbrush? I think these laps are worth identifying and cleanjng and i dont care how many steps are involved or how long it takes. I want to make sure i do it right. Any advice woukd be most appreciated.

Can you post some pictures? If not you contact me and send some pics so we have an idea of what they may be, and possibly knowing how to answer your questions. To vague are these cutting, polish, and or master laps. Polish metal or composite type laps? Cutting laps same solids, toppers, sintered, and or other like copper types loaded with a diamond mesh meant for cutting operations. The list goes on. Box of laps? Pics would be a nice serious start.
