The bottom one looks fake. The top one could be a lot of things. glass or citrine would be my top two quesses.

I am inclined to think glass for both stones based on what I see in the bottom bi-colored stone. But, those things could be artifacts of the photography and lighting. If there are such artifacts then quartz is the most logical alternative. We would know fast with even simple testing.

This type of bicolor is sometimes seen in lab quartz as bwana says. I agree that the apparently curved boundary would be a bit more likely in glass.
