Here are a few I won, all for .99
Here's what you stay the heck away from
And the wonderful description
Wait, what? Composite ruby? Apparent clarity? Potentially adding weight? Not to mention..... $125????? Exactly the same as what I got for a buck. I will never buy from this seller. Anything, ever. Bottom feeder. Ignoramus troll. Not even a best offer option. At least he has free shipping.

well this ignoramus has a question. That spess garnet, was it any good, or was it heavily included? I couldn't really tell from the picture. Are you just saying the $.99 were worth their price, or did you get a good deal on any of them?
I do get the lead glass filled ruby prices for the others were horrible. I actually haven't looked on Ebay much anymore. Haven't found the color change sapphire I was looking for, plus the few I had considered at some point were bid far higher than I was willing to pay. Besides I still want to get the one I did purchase some time ago to a lab one of these days.

I would say 80% of the spess garnets are good. The lighter orange ones have a lower success rate, and the darker red ones a higher success rate. A few have a full crack that will ruin it or give me 2 smaller ones. Often I win a lot of 2,3,4, or 5 averaging 4 cts and up, each, for the same .99. Shoot, I have even won some for a buck that were over 50 cts. For the price and convenience I aint complaining. Hey, its rough. I just finished a 10mm brilliant pear of the darker garnet. The crown finished perfect, the pavilion had several pits, none near the girdle, but its just dark enough they dont show through. Hard to say, but if I had cut away all the faults I would have ended up with a 7mm SRB. It wont win any awards but it looks just fine. When mounted the pits wont show. I cant be absolutely positive, but am pretty sure it isnt hessonite. I have a lot of that, and this stuff is a lot more clear and not as sandy looking. I also just finished a pair of the more or less clear colorless sapphires, 5mm. No pictures of them. A little yellowish, will put them in the stud part of a dangle earring set. Nice and bright and they match. Probably paid .20 each. Guess I will get busy and show some more pics. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!! Update, new pics of this discussion in my next post.
