Those of you familiar with ebay will get a kick out of this post. Some people just have too much money compared with their education. All of these are lead glass filled except the 'sapphire'.

Now, to be honest, I buy from this seller, mostly garnets and the occasional glass filled ruby, usually the fancy colors above 5 cts ea. in lots of 3 or 4. I almost never bid over $1.25, and if outbid, oh well.
Earlier this year I witnessed three ignos bidding against each other for the same as above ruby rough in the 3-10 carat range, and at least one went over the $100 mark. Many went over $50. I am talking about 30-40 sales. Of leaded glass filled rubies. Happy seller hey?
To those not familiar with ebay, the number in ( ) is your ebay score, how many times the you have bought or sold something and left or rec'd 'feedback' from the other party. Newbies have low scores, mine is north of 900.
When the ignos make an appearance I usually dont win much, so I just wait til they run out of money or go home. Plenty more next week.
This seller offers free shipping for all rough, but $8 shipping for cabs and cut stones. And I usually get the package in a week to 10 days.
This post is at the same time funny, sad, and several other adjectives in the revealing and yes, self-deprecating genre. I guess I just have too much time on my hands.
Barbra, I know this post is a little big, delete it if you wish, just please leave it up for a little while. We could all use a laugh at the ignos of the world, myself included.
Hope you all had a merry christmas and happy new year!

No reason to delete. I think your post is a nice FYI. Always good to know every level of market, even as a non-participant.
