I usually don't post much but came across this during a look through the gsa auctions website.
https://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/aucitsrh/?sl=W8QSCI21017016

Longines watches but most interesting are the numerous rubies set in jewelry. Reserve price for the set is north of $10k (reserve not met). If anyone is the area of Springfield, VA then at least you would have the opportunity to inspect them. Auction ends on August 25th.

Thanks for posting that. I wasn't familiar with GSA.
The caveat with the rubies is extent of treatment. They are looking rather cloudy. Don't you think Randuzi?

The value of the watches is a function of whether or not they are running, no?

Hi Barbara, yes of course these considerations are of upmost importance. I only posted since someone in that area who might be interested would be able to personally inspect as it would be crazy to bid on this based only on pictures. Based on the pics, the rubies do look cloudy to me but also the lighting is terrible. Sight unseen, I'd rather buy one of the $500k Blackhawk helicopters they have for sale (sans the $500k price tag  )!
