In the world of microcrystalline quartz, Argentina has provided a very important contribution to the agate world. It may be one of the countries with the largest variety of colorful agate deposits available in commercial quantities. So far there is 8 known agate deposits in Argentina which are all known in the market under commercial names. Dividing the country by regions, then provinces will make it easier to understand where the specific agates and their deposits are found. The following shows us the breakdown:

Each of this agates has their unique features, which will be described in detail with sample pictures attached in the following chapters.
