 Post subject: Can someone help me identify a few stones?

I have taken them to 5 different gemologis in slc and the geology department and no one really knows? I THOUGHT SAPPHIRES BUT THEY ARE TO SOFT. crystbaryl maybe?

It can't be done from a photo. We'd need at the very least some optical data.
