I have two faceted inclusion quartz (petrol-quartz), which show biaxial at the refractometer. Is there already literature about it? I'm thinking of a special kind of twinning, maybe?

Why do you say they show biaxial at the refractometer ? What readings do you get ?

Sigi, I too suspect you are misreading what the refractometer is telling you.

I can also understand your doubts about a wrong reading on the refractometer. I also do not say that these crystals are biaxial, they just show themselves that way.
My guess is a special twinning.
Meanwhile, two rough stones with a special twinning are on the way.

Take some pictures AND directly post you refractometer results.

I don't think that any twinning could distort the readings on a refractometer.
Most of the time the reader or the interpretation is what distorts.
Unless it isn't quartz, of course.
