I bought a parcel of Madeira-color Citrine weight more than 20 cts each. Under microscope there are no typical syn quartz inclusions like seed plate, bread crumbs nor nailhead spicules. All I can see is : - Veil-like cloud, some are curved like striae in Syn Corundum. - Straight cloud plane - Straight plane with tiny needles that looks like intersecting each other.

Needles are typical of natural quartzes, particularly irradiated yellow quartzes from Brazil (lemon quartz). I've never heard of them in synthetic quartz though I haven't necessarily heard of it as a diagnostic feature either. My gut would say they don't occur in synthetics though.
