It is with great sadness I'd like to announce Dr. Hanneman passed away on December 12, 2020. His legacy will live on forever!

Yihaa! Back online and loving it. After half a day of fumbling around with telephone wire I finally had a bright moment and got the datatraffic running again.

So lets talk gemstones! Saturday at the usual time, that is 20.00 hrs GMT

1pm PST time
4pm EDT time
3pm CDT time

These new series will be a bit different then the 'sit still and listen to what the teacher says' chats we used to have. The topic will be known at least a week befor the actual chat and I invite everybody to read up a bit and contribute to the sharing of knowledge. This requires a bit more activity from the participants and I believe that this will come to your own good.
I further want to invite all expierenced gemmo's out there to come and join in and let us pick your brains.

If I receive at least 2 pm's of people telling me they want an Australasian chat we'll have one on saterday as well at 0900hrs GMT (1600hrs Bangkok, 1900hrs Sydney)

for your convenience...

Saturdays Topic:

my personal favorite:

CORUNDUM

Let me tape a note to my forehead so I might remember! It's been almost forever since I've been able to be in chat :D .

ok... since last saturdays chat evolved into nothing followed by a 'let's pick alberto's brain thingy' we'll have a retry on corundum this saturday. A bit more serious approach will be in place I reckon.

My DSL hasn't been kind to me lately, and is losing the connection every few seconds, so I doubt I can do the chat. But if a miracle happens and I can get online at that time I'll be there. As of now I can only access the net at night. :?

I'll attend, though it'll mostly be to listen - I don't think the tidbits of info I collected browsing books will not add much to the discussion. Looking forward to it though, I wonder if we might welcome a few surprise guests :)
