It is with great sadness I'd like to announce Dr. Hanneman passed away on December 12, 2020. His legacy will live on forever!

Hi davegibson !

Many Thanks :)

 I did not know that VLC replaced the original emeralds with turquoises on Marie-Louise's imperial Crown and that is on display at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History ...

Suppose the emeralds were replaced because of their monetary value.
The emeralds were re-set by Van Cleef and Arpeles into contemporary jewelry and sold as a emerald from the historic Napoleonic tiara

Thanks for the thumbs up Barbra :D
I am working on my amber website, the good thing about a website is you can keep adding to it, making it into a more comprehensive article on Mexican amber
