To echo Alberto's comment, I have that same base attached to a Leica S8 APO which is similar to the S6 other than the color correction and trinoc head. I found the same limitation on the flex and use my GIA FlexLight instead. Other than that I love that base and I'd say you did very well for yourself for the money!

Y'all are too fun!
Here's the info that was on the post:
Features:
* Leica S6E StereoZoom optics (10x to 64x magnification) * Flexible gooseneck fiber optics precisely position the light (ports on both sides of the scope) * Overhead fluorescent lamp * Tungsten-Halogen Brightfield/Darkfield illumination lights indirectly from the bottom. The contrast with the dark background enhances viewing. * Iris diaphragm aperture decreases the light input while maintaining the color temperature * Wire pinch grip stone holder * Rotating base for collaborative work * Uses 110 volts

Does any of that answer your first question? As to the camera I have ... none
It doesn't yet, just tell us when it gets in. On the camera: good, that way you will not have to twist and turn trying to adapt it to a weird camera but you can buy one that will be compatible to a common coupler.

Great! Of course, I'll have to wait a while. My hubby was just getting over the cost of the microscope when I informed him I finally repaid GIA what I owed them, plus let him know I wanted to finish my GG, which will cost another couple thousand I imagine he'll be okay by May!

...I looked for your inclusion thread but couldn't find it. Hope these folks don't mind my posting here!!!!!!
...I looked at the inclusion again. Some of the fibrous strands attached to the large inclusion are polished through already - no problem. The body of the large inclusion is almost touching the pavilion facet and extends at least .5mm into the stone - or so it appears to me.
...The stone is bugging me to go home. So, I'll put it on the road.
Trace how much did that little S8 Apo number set you back? I have always been curious about that.
As to everyone's comments about me. Whatt're ya stopping for???
Alberto and Tim I love both of ya but I'll go for the pretty girls every time. You shoulda seen the sweet message Morning Dove sent me when she won her scope.
