I'm glad to hear that, the title had me a bit worried. EBay is usually a decent venue if you don't mind putting in a lot of work getting thrm all listed. Facebook is also very good for advertising this sort of thing. Experts have also suggested that posting stuff on gemologyonline first and letting us pick the best and weirdest stuff first is a sure path to success.

Hmm. Etsy would be a similar thing to EBay, I imagine. Depending on the goals and size of the collection, perhaps an auction/estate group? They might take on the photographing and listing of the items, but there would likely be a sacrifice of profits.

There are some dealers that will help sell collections on a commission basis. They can either broker the hole collection as a lot, or put it in inventory and pay as they sell. However, there are few that I would trust to do thia.
The owner's name often adds value by getting potential purchasers interested in looking at what is in the collection.

Yeah - I think the fact that they are Dr. Hanneman's will certainly add value. I bid on some of Sinkakis stuff once (didn't win), but it was because of the name.
If you use something like ebay or facebook, make sure there is an announcement prior to the auction, so people have a chance to not miss it.

What about one of the auction houses like Heritage Auctions which sometimes sells fine minerals? If it were advertised through the different organizations, such as GIA, AFMS and others along with publications like Mineralogical Record, perhaps they could be persuaded to announce the upcoming sale in their publications or websites. Two of my most prized possessions are Dr. Hanneman's and Alan Hodkinson's autographed copies of their books, and I know many people would feel the same about having something Dr. Hanneman made, had, or found of interest.

I used to always suggest auction houses for similar sales. Especially Bonhams Natural History. I have been gobsmacked with the premiums auction houses are currently charging for their services.

Dr. Hanneman's daughter Patti is going to provide me with an Excel spread sheet of the items available. I will post when I transcribe the list to be web friendly.
As I'm just about to start working on my collection I would be very interested in seeing what is available. I'm glad to hear he's still with us and I look forward to seeing any list of the stones available.
I will certainly wait on any list but, just thinking "out loud", as it were, wouldn't it be easier to just upload the information to a Google Drive or something and have people be allowed to look at it there? You wouldn't need to make any changes to web format then and just either copy and paste the list to a Google Sheets pages or you could upload a copy of the excel that would be provided.
