I saw an exceptional, relatively gemmy near-thumb-sized crystal at Tucson last year. 70k, and he'd let us photograph anything in his cases except for it.
I do have quite a few cut stones and specimens. Here are a couple. The first one I posted belongs to the Harris family, the former mine owners. I wish it was mine.

There are also surprisingly large "bubblegum beryl" crystals available, which are very included to the point that the red is toned down to a red-pink but which have rather nice crystal form. I couldn't believe how cheap they were when my dad picked up a parcel. I'll have to track them down to take a photo.

Stephen- Are you referring to pezzattoitate? It costs less than red beryl but still expensive.
Nope, this material is found in the same mines. It's also much less expensive than pezzottaite, or at least it was this time. I'll take some pictures when I get home.
Yeah I found it for sale in Alaska of all places - in Anchorage, by a daughter of a former mine owner. An inch long or so and maybe 1/2 wide. Very cheap. Wish i had bought all of them.
You are correct Marlow. Because of the cesium and lithium content , pezzottaite is a member of the beryl group not a beryl variety. All the pezzottaites are Mineral Auction wins.l have seen a couple pink moganites that I might call bubblegum beryl.
