Can't miss Nicky Newark with his gray baseball hat. I will be heading back to the Jersey Shore right after the Pala presentation. Be sure to check out the Amazon Import booth- Tell Joe you know Nick. :)

I shall look for you! I'd carry a rose in my teeth - but it's going to be pretty warm for that!

It was killer. Not a huge show - but I thought it was great!

Larson was very entertaining and educational - and charming.

And - here's a scoop - at his booth he showed us a picture of an imperial jade boulder that is coming up for auction soon - it will be on his website. Nice man.

I had to sit down from all the stimulation. No pictures, sorry.

My bank account is too small.....

Good show. Got to meet Empress, Bill Larson(Pala), and Steve Ulatowski(New Era Gems)-picked up a killer color piece of Mehenge spinel rough. No good deals on cut stones- I looked at a 9.02ct. Pezzottaite, 1.29ct. red beryl, 2.12ct. Benitoite and some large Imperial Topaz. The prices were way to high for this economy. I didn't see anyone buying cut stones. One sad note, Joe D.(Amazon Imports) informed me that his business partner and G.O. member Steve Lembeck passed away suddenly a couple months ago. He will be missed.

He will indeed be missed. He was most generous with his knowledge and advice.

Condolences to his family.

Oh dear! I had no idea Steve had passed away! No wonder he's not been around. This is very sad news indeed.
