Yep that is for sure.
Where was it found? Looks similar to some of the Coast Hwy 101 shoreline basalt, I have seen north of Malibu all the way up into the northern parts of California.

Thank you. It was found in Croatia on mountain Velebit. It is small but very heavy.

May I suggest you bring your unknowns to the Earth Sciences department of your closest university and ask for assistance in identification.

Always a good suggestion. Speaking from just such a department, it's a good idea to call in advance to make sure someone is around.
