I've seen a picture of "Maha DeMaggio" mentioning it is portable immersion cell, and able to detect lattice diffusion treatment, and also found some pictures taken with the tool, on some websites. but couldn't get more detail and any store.
Do you know it can really detect the treatment, any seller of it, or anything?

Maha DeMaggio is a photographer specializing in gemologically related subject. There are portable immersion cells available. Dr. Hanneman designed some. https://www.mineralab.com/MiniCube2/ I have a couple in stock if you are interested.

The immersion cell does not detect anything. It just enables a trained gemologist to examine a stone under conditions of reduced contrast and use his knowledge to make the call on diffusion and many other things. It is not a black box solution in any sense of the word.

It takes training, as 1bwana1 infers, to be comfortable with immersion. Using immersion can make many identifications a slam dunk, whereas dark field illumination can be ambiguous.
The DGemG trains all it's gemmologists using immersion scopes. The GIA doesn't really use them.

Thank you very much. I could get clear idea. it is nothing but improved immersion cell. Other Lab test (Libs, Sims etc) is required to find evidence of Be diffusion basically.
Actually, this question is from my customers, (I'm retailing basic gemmological instruments in Japan), and I haven't seen Maha DeMaggio. I appreciate your prompt replies.
