Gene: The colors on that sapphire are impressive. Both vivid. Be happy to take that one off your hands.

Well heck, Jason why didn't you say so? =D> I wouldn't deprive you of something as necessary as that...

Can't wait to see what your belly button stud will look like

I am so giddy, I just have to show off the newest addition to my Gem Dinosaur Bone stash. Shown polished to 3K and weighs in at 1.92lbs.

Ryan, that is the best example of dinosaur bone, I've ever seen!

...Ryan, did you say LBS? That's one hefty bone! What do you plan on doing with it? Sectioning it into slabs, making some cabs, leaving the whole thing intact...?

Thanks Barbra, Mr. Barrett! I was thrilled to be able to buy this piece. Especially for the price that was asked for it. Similar gembone at the Denver show in 2011 was fetching prices 4X more than what I was able to pay for this piece. I'm still excited about it. LOL

Arya, yes, pounds! I plan on keeping this one for a while as it is. Eventually i'll probably take 4 or 5 slabs off of it and re-polish the face and leave it on the shelf while I make cabs and inlay out of the slabs.

From time to time I am able arrange for a few pics of jewelry pieces that I have contributed to. Starting from the top....

Red Zircon square emerald cut with 'brilliant' pavilion from Tanzania (as yet, unheated)
Golden Beryl scissors-style emerald cut from Pakistan
Trapezoidal Golden Tourmaline from Kenya

This piece was manufactured by Frank and Kim Yanke of Franklin MI and was recently delivered to their client.

Hi John, my thoughts exactly. The jeweler had us meet their client in their store to consult on gem type/color options. My wife would describe this woman's coloring as..... autumn. Reddish-auburn hair, light skin, freckles, hazel-greenish eyes. So autumn it is!

Hi Roger,
This piece appears to have two tone gold ( rose and yellow ) which I think goes perfectly with the stone colors. This must look just striking on this lady.
