Dang! Wish I was not saving up to go to Mexico. Well, I love going to Mexico in the winter but I wish I had the money to do both.

Can't wait. I was at the last CGA conference in Vancouver and it was wonderful.

Cheers,

Taking any notes you'd like to share with us?
Have you seen Dr. Emmett yet?

I'll try to write up something coherent next week while I'm on the plane to HK,

Dr Emmett is awesome in a physicist wrapper =D> What an amazing man. My talk on heat treatment has benefited so much from his work and support.

The whole like up was great. Dr. Post showing slides of the Smithsonian collection, John Koivula with his micro photographs. Alan Hodgkinson (who could merit an audience just reading the phonebook) can do more with his eye than most gemologists can do with a full lab. Blaire got me lusting after pearls :-)

I can't believe we got this crew to Vancouver! And the conference is small enough that you can meet and spend time with the speakers. I can't think of a better place to be.

Cheers,

Lisa

John Emmett rocks! I was at his talk at World of Gems and it was even better this time. This was the perfect conference and so much fun. :P
