Hi Folks, Does anyone have or know where I can get cutting designs for the platonic solids? I've got a heap of topaz and I want to cut something a little different. Cheers! |

Seems like I found some floating around the net at one time, but I can't remember where. You might check the USFG Yahoo list (Files section). I developed a design for an icosahedron. If you'd like, I can check to see if I can find it now.... |

If I understand what you're looking for, you can find some here: http://www.rockhounds.com/oplc/cd_online/gemstone_designs/jeff_ford_polyhedra/index.html It's part of the online version of a CD dedicated to faceting from the Old Pueblo Lapidary Club's convention a number of years back. Since things like this occasionally disappear from the net, I downloaded the CD image and have it sitting here on my computer -- it's got *a lot* of other designs and articles on it that are well worth your time. Here are the details: http://www.rockhounds.com/oplc/ peter |
