Hello All ! I've been reading here for several days and find this place absolutely amazing. Full of helpful and knowledgable people who don't hesitate to share. About me : i'm a total beginner in gemology, but in the light of my future business endeavors in east africa, i decided to get some proper education. I've already enlisted in one local geology and mining university for their short course on gemology(90hrs lections and lab), but i also plan on getting some GIA education as well. My main reason is the fact that from next year i will be visiting Tanzania in relation to my current work. I will be in Dar, Arusha and also Mwanza. Think this will be a great opportunity to start a new hobby or why not a carreer So, in reading the posts i got several things covered - the belomo loupe, the gemoro microscope... My question is from where can i buy mr Hanneman's Guide to affordable gemology and his filter sets(im in EU)? What other literature do you recommend? Matlins&Bonnano's Gem Identification Made easy? Thank you
