Hi
I am a total novice when it comes to rough specimens but came across this beautiful piece of fluorite and another smaller piece being sold as an aquarium decoration!

This piece weighs 3.5kg. I do not know what to do with it. The smaller piece I have attacked with a dremel and removed the concretion (dont know what else to call it)

I feel there is a beautiful specimen in there somewhere but dont know what to do to to reveal it!

Depends what you're after, I guess. If you polish a face it'll show the banding off nicely. Otherwise, if you have time it's relatively easy with some practice to cleave fluorite into octahedrons. Miners used to do it in their spare time at fluorite mines to make a bit of extra cash on the side, using nothing more than a knife or chisel. I've never done it myself, though.
