Hello there,
I am actually on eBay. I have just found the 4th edition of "Gem identification: their sources, description and identification" by Anderson. For the moment, the price is around$1,65 in american dollar. The book is in England.
I know that I am a beginner, but I have bought that book, following the advices of very good professionnals writting on this forum. It was more expensive. It is really a very very good book. The best edition is the 5th one but I have never seen it under $500.00 in pretty good condition.

i think it's fair for me to say that my bid is set at 24.99. If that's less than what anyone else would bid, i won't win. i know that's a low number and i'm fine with that.

Hello,
I have bought this book already. It was neither or eBay or Amazon. It was on Abebooks. So I looked for you who are looking for this book. I found that link: http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDet ... p%3By%3D10. It is $43.00 + shipping. The book is already in USA.
For eBay: I recommand that you contact the seller before to know the shipping cost. Just tell them in which state (and country) you live. You are going to have a good idea. If the book is not in the same country, I do not recommand to use UPS. It is best to ask for the international shipping of that country.

Once Brigitte mentioned the price from Abebooks there was really no reason for someone in the USA to bid--the shipping from GB would cost more than purchasing it from Abebooks .
