Good day,

I notice that some gauge so sale have a little extra piece in a little plastic bottle.

Does someone know what is the use of that extra piece? Is it important?

Thank you

Brigitte

hi,

that piece is an extension needed when you are measuring the height of a mounted stone in some rings with a very small hole near the culet.

ciao

I have used a few different gauges. The electronic ones available for about 50 to 70.00 work better for me than the mechanicals. But you have to get that little attachment or you will be doing a lot of estimating when you could be doing actual measurements.

Well tou second that this item is essential.

For the moment, I prefer, when possible, vintage. That must be youth-sick!

Thanks.
