well,I'd have to say synthetic ruby popular in early/the middle of the 20th century.it might be synthetic when less inclusions can be seen in naked eye.

Synthetic flame fusion ruby was developed in the late 1800s. Fine genuine rubies will not have inclusions visible to the unaided eye. There are flux grown synthetics which will have inclusions visible without magnification.
One learns to separate natural vs synthetic corundum on the basis of microscopic observation. Occasionally, curved growth lines can be observed without magnification in synthetic rubies, but this is unusual.

Hey all, thanks for the quick replies and useful info. However, the main question im asking got ignored, I would like to know if it is possible for a ruby (natural or synthetic) to show a Pinkish Red reaction under the chelsea filter or it has to be only strictly red?
