Hello Everyone!

I recently found this piece and wondered if anyone could help to identify it? It has a tiny flicker of blue In it too.

The piece was found in the highlands of Scotland.

Apologise for the poor video quality, I have more pictures if needed. Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance
Kerry :)

Hi and Welcome.
I've moved your post to a more appropriate category.

From what I see in that picture it looks a lot like the quartz that I have in my area as well. That said, I would need more pictures to be sure.

Hi Kerry.
Try a hardness test and report back.
Are you in the Highlands as well?

The main stone is certainly quartz. The blue could be fracture fire.

From what we can see in the image, which is never enough, I am with David on the Quartz call. Typical waxy luster and fracture patterns.

With Calcite I expect to see evidence of cleavage in the stone.
