Has anyone managed to create even a Fair Quality Nacre? (Mother of Pearl?) I know Scientists had a Breakthrough fairly recently: http://news.discovery.com/tech/artifici ... pearl.html But haven't heard anything Since. Looking for something that can be purchased reasonably affordably, in big enough slabs to make Knife Handles, Pistol Grips, and small Netsuke' Sized Sculptures from. Needn't be Slavishly indistinguishable from the real thing, but sould have good Iridescence..... No plastic or micarta..... Saxon Violence |
