Hey Barbara, no Asscher this time. A classic outline with some minor tune up work.
Zircon from Tanzania last January. Has yet to be heated. 7.63ct - 14.6 x 9.15 x 5.95mm Overheads are just regular fluorescent style. But, facing, there are two OttLites covered by paper towel to diffuse the light a little.

I found a pure red spinel rough in a Tanzanian parcel that I purchased in Tucson this past February. I enjoyed it for a few days, but it sold in record time tonight. And no, I don't have any more like it (wish I did)!

Nice Spinel Gary! And that Sphene would look great in my arsenal too! Well done Lawrence.
Here's a recut I performed recently. It's a Sapphire from Sri Lanka acquired some time ago. Finalized at 1.21ct 6.90 x 4.95 x 3.65mm I'm sure heat having been first worked in Sri Lanka in 2001 or 2002. But I don't believe they were messing with beryllium back then in Colombo.
Below one of my recent recuts. Pink sapphire Mozambique. 1.49 ct, VS, untreated, 7.20x5.59x3.68 mm. On the verge to red in some lights. Extreme fluorescence under LV.
