Hi Jason, Saw your post, I suppose you are referring to these Tourmalines?
5.62ct total wgt. 8.3 x 6.5 x 5.8mm From one of my Congo crystals, I sliced it through the middle, then adapted an emerald cut layout with a checker top to match up to the size. I probably wasted a bit of weight, but when the light direction is in the incorrect position (for closed 'C' axis Tourmalines) there isn't much we can do. Hope you'all like it.

I know most of my buds are workin' the streets in Tucson. Since I have to be in the shop till my flight anyway, have been busy at the wheel. Zircon - Tanzanian and has not been heated yet. 3.46ct ~ 8.0 x 8.0 x 5.3mm

Spessartite's are one of my favorite gems to look at. Most of what I've been cutting has been from the recent Loliondo find in Tanzania.
This piece is from Tucson 2007. Has a princess cut look to it, but I've revised the pavilion to suit me, and the shape of the rough allowed it. 4.08ct ~ 8.0 x 8.0 x 6.35mm
Shot at 18 inches; f32 and 4.0seconds On a shiny black background. No overhead lights. Used two OttLites.

BTW, Roger -- You said the Tanzanian zircon "has not been heated yet." Does that mean you intend to heat it? If you have heated it, can we see a picture?

Well Barbara, I've just returned from Tucson a matter of hours ago, and truly have not given that Zircon another thought since I finished it. So, I may heat it, but I have no urgency to get to it at present. It may just sell in its current appearance. At least, I hope it does!
