I finally have a color change garnet! From Madagascar, 1.28ct. Eye clean at 10x and a complete color change. I was thinking of sending it back for thinking its too dark, but my research tells me they all are dark. Plus, I just like it too darn much. So it's in my personal collection now. Shown in mixed lighting. It looks a little sweeter in person.

Hoooooly crap Ryan. That looks like one of those Winza sapphires with the mixed blue/pink, except your garnet looks better and probably performs better in mixed light. Damn!

Thanks guys!! It has wonderful dispersion in sunlight and some great flashes in my kitchen lighting. It's dark, but not too dark that you cannot easily tell what color it is. I'm happy I decided against sending it back. One day I'll have the time to actually take some better pictures of it.

Another reddish pink kunzite. Supposedly untreated from the Patroke mine. This one weighs a whopping 51.35cts. I'm probably going to send this one to Bonhams for auction. Completely eye clean.
Hi Jason , Good luck with your auction endeavor , would you share the result here.

Yeah, I know, another asscher-like gem. Well, if folks would quit asking about them, then we wouldn't cut this style.
10.27ct ~ 12.45 x 12.45 x 10.75mm with corner-to-corner at 14.05mm It contains numerous inclusions and some with liquid. Is as interesting on the inside as it is on the outside.
