Two years... I still catch my breath when an old thread rises and there are your words. Then I smile, there's my good memories.
Doesn't stop the left eye tho.

Alain - still miss your body being here on this earth but I know you're sitting on our shoulders...I feel you pounding in there when I know I'm taking shortcuts that I shouldn't.

His legacy lives on, although it doesn't replace his selfless spirit and general irreverence.
We miss you, Doos.

I thought of Doos when I got my DGA results back a couple of weeks ago, I could almost hear him saying "Why the h*ll did you bother studying diamonds???"

:o This is the first I am hearing of this... :smt009 . I took some time off from GO back in mid 09, this happened shortly after that. I remember Alain being very helpful to me when I first joined, me having no knowledge and asking a lot stupid questions. Alain was a great source of information for me back then and I am ashamed that this is the first I have heard of his passing. I vow to always check in weekly at the very least.

Thank you Alain for your great knowledge, patience and willingness to share your knowledge with others. You will be greatly missed and are thought of often. Rest in peace my friend.
