Retrospective exhibit of Van Cleef & Arpels exhibit at:

Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum
2 East 91 Street (@ 5th Avenue)
New York, NY 10128
tel : (212) 849 84 00

Very extensive gathering of Van cleef & Arpels jewelry and objects of vertu from the begining of the 20th century to today.

A lot of somptuous high end jewels, signature pieces as well as some less known jewelry with an insight on some of the famous clients that wore them.

One of the best jewelry exhibits of this decade in NYC if one can tolerate the annoying distortion of the plexiglass bubbles encasing a significant part of the collection.

Do not miss the grouping of unusual 1950's Laquered butterflies with diamond bodies flying in one of the showcases.

Certainly worth seeing this treat to the eye if one lives in New York or is visiting the city.
